You're fucking spoiled. Give me a sammich or some Ramen noodles and I'm good to go.

Life is short and hard like a body building elf. If you don't take the chance to treat yourself you will miss out on all the good stuff in life.

>> No.18

I treat myself, sometimes in food, but mostly not, usually it's just the basics. Difference is we treat ourselves in different ways. Doesn't mean I'm living a worse life.

If I treated myself with good food all the time, eventually it won't be good anymore and just mediocre because you get used to the same standard.

With American food standards, less is more.

Pah. When I consider what I'd end up doing if I ever actually spent time with Lia, I can't help thinking about cooking breakfast barefooted with her.

Sure, ramen is fine too, and I'll live on it if I have to but there's not much better than a cooked breakfast; especially if you have someone to cook with/for.

Why the obsession with ramen? It's not nearly as fast or awesome as most people claim. You can get amazing ramen, but that mostly comes from Asia (and is not imported). In addition ramen is kind of devastatingly bad for you since it's just deep fried noodles and bouillon.

Consider this. In the same amount of time it takes to make ramen you could make:

  • a microwaved hotdog or an egg
  • heated up leftovers
  • had those tiny microwave boxes of pad thai or such from Trader Joes? (if those things just came with a little packet of peanuts to sprinkle on them, they'd be perfect)
  • heated up a can of soup (or a carton, I recommend Trader Joe's tomato or ginger/carrot)
  • Make some tuna fish (I like it in this weird flax flatbread I can sometimes find)
  • As mentioned, sandwiches are glorious

And my best bet for snacking/light meal:
A packet of chopped and skinned carrots, a tub of humous or cheese spread, a wedge of cheese and some bread. Takes about 30 seconds to prepare, heh.

Now I'm hungry, and must depart.

Because I can just throw it in water, come back and read, fuck off on bounceme, or whatever and then a few minutes later, it's done. Besides that, you can buy 5-10 packs for $1, depends on the store and times. That way I can spend the rest of my money on video games, the final season of X-files DVD, another fleshlight (mine's almost worn), and more AR-15 ammo.

Based solely on this man's rationale I'm a proposing an immediate tax on ramen. I feel it could solve so many society's ills with minimal effort.

My only comfort comes from the knowledge you'll be dead shortly.
