Think about what Icarus did, found her real identity and then shared it with the circlejerk who then all threw a hissy fit and decided that she wasn't as perfect as they thought and got bored with the whole thing and for his troubles? He pissed off Cracky who had been pretty reasonable with him, had his computer and all cracky related emails and accounts compromised and ended up in the loony bin. When all he had to do was not share with anyone and keep his mouth shut and spend the rest of his life being the only (or at least one of the few) people to have found Cracky's real name and had actually spoken to her.

I wouldn't regret sharing what you did because regret, nostalgia and bad decisions are the driving force behind this board. Besides if you're lucky eventually you'll learn from your mistakes and find something to fill the void or at least better yourself so you don't end up like the rest of the human detritus round here.
