I think it would be totally impractical to prepare a human roast that way. It will take way too long for the heat to reach the core. You have to stretch the human out an spit roast it. Only then the meat will be cooked evenly.
Also, you may probably want to remove the lower part of the limbs as they are full of tendons. Not very yummy.
Probably you'd also want to turn some of the meat into jerky or sausage so you can preserve it a little longer. You can snack on bits of Cracky during teatime for the next couple of months.
Finally, if humans were raised for consumptions, what would be to best age to harvest them? Assume there would be ways to fatten them up quicker than they would naturally do, but I guess it will still take a couple of years.
