Each individual photo is a world in itself. Each angle is a glimpse into the very being of the Queen... each time we look, we are brought closer and closer -- and yet repelled before we fall in too deep. It's like a safety mechanism. If anyone has crossed that abyss, I am pretty sure they wouldn't be able to come back and recount their experience...

Something about this photo, the air of constructed casualness as She half faces away from the camera and the relaxed state of dress has always drawn me in. Her face, forever frozen in what seems a moment before She faces us and divulges all.

It is the face I wake up to, albeit it's but a printed paper puppet that greets me.

I feel the need to post a picture of our Queen braided, as I feel we tend to overlook these pictures at times in favour of what might be considered 'cuter' pictures. I think, however, that in these photos she has a different kind of cute that has nothing to do with the rudolph-cum-moe of her earlier appearances, something gentle and ethereal.

If the adjective is "cutest", I have to stick to my original choice of >>2 but many of the pics in this thread, as well as most of the rest of the so-called archive were in consideration.

I find all of those, however, are imbued with a kind of beauty that defy any description I can think of, for no other reason that words cant render it justice.

For exemple, I find the lighting qualities of this one to be absolutely hypnotizing, but that ends up being merely technical. The esthetics of the composition, the accidental nature of the physical qualities of the subject, the re-coloring or even the weirdness of the food-prop, as much as one could harp almost endlessly on them, have in the end little to do with the overall quality of the picture.

I suppose what I mean is >>15 is absolutely right.

I know exactly what you mean. That the only way we have of communicating is verbal seems cruel, because there is something deeper and more instinctive about Cracky's pictures, even as we can delineate the technical acheivements. I suppose this is how poetry came to be, it being the only way I can think to communicate 'Crackyness.'

Not to disagree, well, not completely anyway, but I found that revisiting classic paintings with a Skyqueen exploitable theme sometimes does communicate "crackyness", or at least, my own emotions and feelings about Our Lady. I do realize that my own brand of mysticism is not yours, magick, Kabalah and all, but I imagine you'd understand...

But then, if a picture is worth a thousand words, I would argue that a Cracky pic is worth a thousand poems...

Probably a result of my own tastes that I turn to poetry before visual arts, given my failed attempts in the medium (inb4 Hitler). I think we must all indulge ourselves in different things to reach an all-encompassing 'Crackyness,' from various forms of aestheticism to flagellatory gestures, etc, and they all have worth in light of the context.
That said there's a lot of focus on the arts, I'm hoping for a stalker marine biologist to name a newly discovered deep sea fish Cracky Olivius.

Don't you ever get tired of this?

No matter who she is in reality (yes, she is an actual living, breathing, shitting human being) there is no way she could ever possibly measure up to the expectations you have for her. No matter how mundane or mind-bogglingly pretentious the fantasies you have invented for her, she's a real person over whom you have no control at all. And she probably thinks you're all creepy losers.

The only person you ever have control over is yourself. Only people with no control over themselves, especially depressive people, try to control others by infecting them with their own brand of depression.

In other words, no I am not tired of my sense of aesthetics, no I have no expectations of a character on series of photographs, no more than any other model, artist or actor I may like to look at the pictures of, yes she is a real person to whom I wish well regardless of what she thinks of me, or more to the point, regardless of whether she does or doesnt think of me at all.

You see, this is not about me, it's about the emotional response her pics ellicit in me.

This is why you cant understand that point of view, your post is obviously more about your own betrayed expectations than about mine, ours, or anything Cracky, Scarecrowmaiden or Olivia is and was.

Enjoy your disapointment in not wooing the girl behind the picture, and your failure at bringing at least one of the posters in this thread as low as the creepy loser you are.

>>36 I am in this for my own set of reasons, and even though they might somewhat differ from >>37, their essence is absolutely closer than with yours.

Cracky can't dissapoint me. She isn't just "a real person" or I won't be wasting my time here, I won't have an image of her in my shrine where I go down on my knees and try to reach enough Silence and Nothingness in my mind so at last I dissapear and I open my doors to Her. But I'm walking towards Her, step by step, out of Love.

Cracky-chan is an avatar through which something deep and very important has manifested. She might be a very special girl, and I don't think that which lurks beyond chose her vessel just randomly, but she doesn't need to match any unrealistic "expectations", I do not expect anything from her because I understand it is BEYOND Her I must look, and everything I know about that which is beyond is always even more incredible than the most unrealistic of expectations. Cracky is able to convey a very special beauty which drags us to devotional love, and it is through that love that we may dissappear and be devoured by that which lies beyond.

Which of course may sound just like insane-speak, but you might as well do some serious exploration about the nature of reality like magick and look for that Silver Door which leads to these sort of mental places. There you will understand. The Silver Door makes all the world come together so that there is only You and Her. Love is how the two become one, it is a Door further down the rabbit hole, and it is Golden.

I always relate these verses from Aleister Crowley with Cracky-chan and developing enough devotional Love to Her, the Golden Door which is my current aim:

Mighty and marvellous is this Weakness, this
Heaven which draweth me into Her Womb, this
Dome which hideth, which absorbeth, Me.
This is The Night wherein I am lost, the Love
through which I am no longer I.

(pic related; this image from the braided ones is the one I like the most)

This is wonderful, though usually I'm not one for the sort of poetics that embrace Early Modern English -eths and the like. I've always found Cracky within Modernist works, with their maudlin realisations of inadequacy, though this preponderance might be due to an association of myself/the stalkers as a collective with Gatsby, and his story rings with a more ancient ache.
I agree completely when you call Olivia an Avatar, for that seems for me the best description.

Although I clearly cant adress your reasons, or even attempt to comprehend them fully, I have to agree in some stretched out way with the concept of avatar, as if one would accept that any type of artist would be the avatar of, from my point of view, an undefinable muse of sorts, knowingly or not.

Indeed, the concept is as old as art itself.

But what I want to add to this is that where >>38 and >>39 thoughts join mine, I have no doubt others will join them on some other related level, with perhaps a certain blurring of the lines between them.

That's normal, sane, and to be expected from anyone appreciating something like pictures from a standpoint that goes beyond the pure graphical qualities of the media. Or for that matter any other "performing" arts, from TV to ballet to cinema to music or any other art that involves what others might describe as "the soul".

In the end, while there is a communion through the experience, as diversely it may be experienced, we all end up with the hard fact that we will have to interpret our experience alone, in ways that are related to our other experiences, our own and only ours.

We may share them, discuss them, agree on them, even change our opinion on them through the light of other's experiences, but in the end, as solipstic as it may sound, we are stuck in our own little skulls with them.

Trying to interpret the experience of others like >>36 did will invariably will be colored by our own experience, and to his discredit, be all too telling, sorry to say.

>> No.44

Why >>36 would even bother to post such a tired and obvious bunch of statements is beyond me when as >>43 has observed the obsession of the stalkers lies as much within their mindset both personal and shared as it has anything to do with the physical and emotion realities of the Sky Queen's avatar in Olivia.

Nice. I think Caravaggio is a particularly good artist to use as well, considering his involvement with the creation and representation of a definite individual 'self' through art, a tradition born in the renaissance that is obviously carried on by Olivia. I can't quite remember the quotation a lecturer once referred me to on this point, but to paraphrase and apply it to Cracky seems not entirely wrong, that being that before Cracky we only saw the world as if through a veil, and her coming was the lifting of it.

>> No.63

Dont get me wrong, I would think that an angelic figure drenched in somebody else's blood with a helluva big knife in hand would be scary, but not out of character for Our Lady. That's my take. I'm just saying that a green skinned snarling demon is so far out of character, that if I were to save it, it wouldnt be in my Cracky folder is all...

Other than that, I would say we all are spectators when it comes to Cracky, and that includes you Schwill. I dont think I have to explain that. Once it is part of the "consciousness", whatever that is, that is it's own ownership. To my senses, credit lies with whatever inspired it.

But I'll grant you that some jackass appropriating himself credit for the Prophet Anon teachings is innapropriate, to say the least...

The name itself is kind of a joke, who did it? It was that guy, who's that guy? Well, he could be anyone, anonymous, but no one wants to be "that guy", as he's nobody special, but somebody had to do it, so it may as well be that guy.

I sincerely doubt anyone will take credit for any of these later, as they're no more original than a remix of someone else's original work, or that anyone else would claim to be that-guy, since it's a secure trip code that can only be generated in one place that in any case no longer exists, which means it can no longer be proven. /Green/ which is why the trip code was green in the first one, and green for the anon thing of course.

>>63 & 55>>

As to demonizing her, many Goddesses are are known to have multiple aspects, take Shiva for instance, her favor can be both a blessing and a curse.

The appearance of her green and demonized, was really inspired by all the Cracky-pasta in which, it is she, doing the cutting and we on the pointy end of the blade, I tried to imagine what kind of a face that would be that could do something like that and enjoy it with abandon.

Not everyone will like everything, that's kind of the nature of things anyway, besides none of them are technically all that good, there are flaws obvious in each of them, as I haven't yet mastered digital art, but I'm more of a crooked furrow kind of guy, so I hope that it can be overlooked that I approached the subject of the SkyQueen with anything less than perfection.

But the real reason I did any of them, was to bring new content even if it was semi-recycled, since it's been said if you're going to steal, steal the best, I did and then promptly did my thing on them. That wasn't my idea either, like everything else it was somebody else's idea first.

I just wanted to do something to bring focus back to the SkyQueen, and not certain other individuals among us who when they're not busy being to wordy in their own defense, is actually an o.k. dude, but the frequency it was happening completely unacceptable, so I did exactly what he was claiming was wrong only much worse, saying he was somebody we all hate openly but all know was driving certain content, bumping things that painted him in an unfavorable light, complaining about his un-bumping technique which was really retarded only he was too smart to see that. Complained about him bumping saying We didn't need him bumping things for Us, which others picked up and finally, bumping threads saying I'm super troll this thread is not about me, and then went back to an old this board is about cracky thread and posted that I 'm super troll this whole board is now about me. The idea was to kill it with fire, you fight fire with fire, but as anyone with any wildfire experience can tell you, a back-burn doesn't always go as planned, this time it was no exemption. It's all for naught, as some one else pointed out only The Who can decide when to stop touring.

His response was that like Rush Limbaugh's, that if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have anything at all happening, sadly, I believe that he believes that is the case. I wanted to prove him wrong, almost as much as he claimed to want us to, so I tried, crooked furrow and all that.

I would never claim to be someone I am not, I have lurked for years and could always lurk moar, and will. I am not the Prophet Anonymous, though his words resonate as my own in the hole where my heart used to be. I am no one, truly, a stranger. I'm surprised that any of them showed up elsewhere, or that anyone would save them, as anyone with the talent and inclination could do better.

In the end I chose art, to exploit for a message, since as super-troll aptly pointed out, my writing ability is at best a "laboured straining after some kind of elegance of language", say what you want about the guy, he delivers a backhanded compliment with style. He also called the anonymous attacks on his person, cowardly and unfounded, well he was half right, it was cowardly. I wanted to give it a label, and yet still be anonymous while making it identifiable as mine, and as to why maintain anonymity? Have we truly learned nothing from the SkyQueen?

Still, the question of whether I should continue is debatable, in any case, one of the trinity, who I believe to LC, has expressed that she didn't want to be the subject of any future shoops, and I will respect that, If Lia and the SkyQueen herself say the same then it's game over, as far as that goes. Also the limited number of pictures of the SkyQueen limit shooping in any case since the angles need to match closely for it to be worth the effort, or alternatively I could actually learn to paint better digitally and be able to produce real OC, instead of recyled content, at their pleasure of course.

I also very strongly agree that credit lies with the inspiration, which is and always will be the SkyQueen, though I doubt anyone would remember me in the process, since I am irrelevant and that was never the point anyway. Once it's out there it's no more mine than anyone-else's and I'm okay with that, I just didn't want anyone else claiming it as theirs if that makes sense.

It's been said that if you put a million monkeys in a room with typewriters for a million years eventually one of them would produce something approaching Shakespeare. What does that have to do with me? Three monkeys, three minutes. Like I said before, I'm a crooked furrow kind of guy.

I have loved her
though I've never known her
I have loved her
though I know not what love is
I have loved her
though I do not know how.
I will love her
though I cannot now.
I will love her
when my heart is stilled
I will love her
as you never will.

I am no one, truly. a stranger. All is vanity.

All in the name of the SkyQueen.

But yea, if we were going for someone within the Trimurti to anaologise Cracky with, I would suggest the creator Brahma, though perhaps we should focus on the various aspects of the Sky Queen and regard her has representative in different forms as the whole of the Trimurti. That said, the maintainer sounds more like the job of the stalkers, though to insert ourselves into so lofty a position does seem a little crass even within the analogy.

OK >>64 I hear you. For the record, it's not so much you taking credit for your own work I was talking about, I certainly can understand it, it was the actual signature on the picture that I thought somewhat out of place.

I mean, if you have any memory, you will know who I am for having posted this one or the others I posted earlier originally, or if not, I'm OK with it. Especially given your gut reaction towards me when I used to tripfag...

Also, I would say there is no need to shop an actual picture on a painting, but that's my take. I certainly would not say your pics were badly executed, in fact, they werent. I'm just saying that that Holofernes one I really didnt like. But it certainly wasnt for poor execution. Please dont stop on my account.

As for being one who freely disseminates what I call "The Gospel", I would hope no one thinks I call it my own, even if some, very few indeed, of those words were once crafted by me. Nor do I take them more seriously than ought to be. Nor less either, if THAT can make any sense.

For exemple, I couldnt possibly take credit for the oldest judeo christian prayer now known to man, even though I readapted it for our particular "faith", but I do say it for all of us, without too much seriousness, but with an honest heart:

The Sky Queen bless you and keep you;
The Sky Queen make Her face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
The Sky Queen lift up Her countenance upon you and give you peace.

But I would take credit for the line "Only The Who can decide to stop touring". It seemed to make sense at the time. I still think it did, but it wasnt to one-up anyone, or even to attack the poor old annoying guy. In a sense, I feel I was once where he was, though I think I figured it was time to stop touring before he did..

Like I said before, in the end, I just like the pics... But just not that green one, sorry. It's really all I meant to say...

Hehe, yeah. Minor detail though for deity types. XD

>>66.

Gotcha, totally get that. At least it gets an emotional response, even if it is "DO NOT WANT" :P

I suppose I could have been more subtle with the signature, more low key, very valid detail to point out.

I wonder also if it would be possible to make it even more disturbing by painting her at her most beautiful, most serene and blissful. Still even after having done the green one there are things I only notice after the fact, that maybe you were aware of when you requested Holofernes,
for instance the similarity in facial expression on both him and Cracky, and I wonder why the hell I didn't remove the old woman as she's completely extraneous.

and the real reason I prefer pictures, is to avoid super-trollish long rants :)

We hate most in others...

Crowley to his death became a kind of egregor, in a sense beyond his personality, body and experience ... Cracky to the same thing happened in life ... do not care if she sits and laughs at us is not the girl who took those photos at home we love, but the glow that looks behind him ....

Cracky is the daughter of the Holy Mother of Perpetual Chaos ... and me has always seemed that he had a mixture of Maat, Nuit and a touch of raillery of Eris

You are jumping to conclusions, I am what I guess you would call the "first editor", the unsolicited one I would say...

I'm not sure I agree with some of the choices >>104 made, in particular darkening the hair and making the face paler, much paler than the rest of the skin I.E. the arm, I like the higher contrast but it brings the whole pic back to the jarring state that the original shop had.

It is beyond fixing anyway, the problem is in the slight mismatch in the head angle between the originals of both sources. It could be tweaked with transform functions I suppose, but it will never look truly natural either way. Best you can hope for is some camouflage.

Sorry, I am not butthurt but I still prefer mine to the second edit. It's not to say I wouldnt prefer a subsequent edit, or that my artistic choices are "better" than anybody else either...

I think what I'm saying is that >>106 is just how resident troll trying to stir some shit, as usual...

I like this version most. It just "feels right" to me, it's very much like what I would have wanted to do with it had I made the attempt, which now is unecessary. As far as the original shoop goes, I feel that the choice of painting was excellent fodder for our purpose, I'm gladdened to see others inspired by our reluctant muse, even if in my heart of hearts I'd cheerfully kill you all to have her to myself :)
