It's just even easier to spam.

I use astraweb as well, but all usenet is good for is downloading stuff. I had no idea people still used it for discuttion.

We would store all the pictures in one place. We would only have to repost them once in two years (about when the retention expires)

The group name would look so awesome in the groups list.

Just go to the jj.am cracky page. they have something around 100 pics. Just about every un/common can be grabbed from 4chanarchive and the backpages of here and crackyhouse (if you dare enter that shithole).

The fact of the matter is there is really no need for a centralized database since everyone who wants the pics already has them, and it isn't even hard to get them if they didn't (computer failure, etc).

I wouldn't say Usenet textgroups are that public or mainstream anymore. People nowadays almost exclusively use it as a file sharing system. There are a handful stubborn old folks who write in a some textboards, but only a few really popular topics prosper like politics and religion.
There's spam no doubt and yes the group would get spam but it's not from your ordinary haters_gunna_hate 13y old gorefag but rather from quite innocent bots who post the occasional makemoney scam or porn ad while not being aware one bit who the Skyqueen actually is.

I believe it would be quite peaceful over there. It would be good for both us and Usenet. We would save Usenet and do it a favor in preserving the original historical usage that is rapidly dying. It would be a cultural benefit.
