I honestly will keep my word - after this, honest! - because I really am sick of being the object of resentment, hatred and vindictiveness, which, as I say, has even been spilling over into the place where I live lately.
It was also probably a stupid and inappropriate thing for me to do to contribute a thought to a thread on Camel - which was a pwning-and-baiting thread from the start and which was about a girl I've also attacked myself, so that the chances of my getting drawn into the drama were all the greater.
I DO respect this board's much greater effort (than Crackyhouse's) to preserve a unity and specificity of focus.
However, my initial contribution was - as are my contributions to Crackyhouse - a harmless, very abstract and philosophical one that certainly could, with a little effort of imagination, have been taken and expanded upon in a way that might have nourished discourse about Cracky.
If people here prefer not to do that, well and good. As I say, expansion of the scope of a board like this is a risky business.
It could, though, simply have been ignored. There was no need for the supercilious, contemptuous response that it received, which referred to "cam whores" and so on in a hatefully dismissive manner.
Your board is under no threat (from me, at least). But "defending" it in this hysterical, paranoid, arrogant and aggressive way is completely unnecessary and counter-productive.
