So I've recently been going through a lot of my old flashes and images from 4chan's '04-'06 days and it seems I've made myself depressed in the process. Everything is so fucked up/changed now and I feel isolated because I have no one to share my memories of those days with. Where did all of us even go once things started going to shit? Is this place all that remains of those days and the things I fell in love with? Am I alone?

>> No.2

You aren't alone. Nothing lasts forever.

Maybe a strange habit, but I sometimes go on old computers and look through image properties to see when I saved them. The 4ch images were invariably saved between 2 and 6 in the morning.

Seems like yesterday I was sitting giddy as anything laughing those days away... now that was apparently 5 years ago. Feels weird man.

This site brings back memories on each visit... not always good ones, but that's okay.

Most people grew up. Those who couldn't stayed here. As great as it was, being depressed at the disappearance of a niche internet subculture is a sign that you really need to re-evaluate your life. This place is slowly being consumed by the same people who consumed 4chan. So it goes.

Yeah... I know. But I still can't help but feel disgusted at the rabid exporting of what was our culture, the destruction of all the creativity and originality we had replaced by "u mad" "u jelly" memes, people wearing meme t-shirts and pretending like they're part of something special and unique when in reality they missed it by half a decade.

Being upset over it won't change anything. You need to accept it and move on. It's never coming back, no matter how hard you or the people you complain about try to recreate something similar.

Heed these words for they come from a wise anon.

Anyway if you're really that desperate iichan and (sometimes) 7chan offer an atmosphere somewhat similar to what you're after, albeit not a true replacement. Live and learn, friend.

>> No.7

Yeah I've been to 7chan, and it seems kinda dead these days. I went to iichan along side 5chan when it was around and even now it looks like its held up pretty well. Maybe I'll start going there.

Something else will come along that will recreate the connection and joy created by Cracky. Constantly lusting over events of the past will only drive you deeper into depression. Look to the future with anticipation because something new and original will come along, it always has.

I'm just shocked by the content I have brought into the Sky Queen's temple. I believe penance will be repaid after reciting the Sky Queen's Prayer and fifty flogs to the backside; all administered while kneeling on broken glass.

You mean that another camwhore will come around that will surpass Cracky's level? Then how has not one yet done it and here we have had +1000 since (I refuse to put >9000)
