It makes no sense at all, of course, as an explanation. But it IS pretty instructive as to the blinkered, infantilically self-absorbed attitudes that reign in places like this.

It's just some "random" old weirdo, who "randomly" decided to stick a sign next to his opem butt that happened "randomly" to be my name. And here I come, as usual, "trying to make this all about me" and "distracting" from the much more serious business of this board (which, as far as I can see, consists in bumping five-year-old Crackypasta back to the top of the front page over and over and over and over again until even YOU get sick of it).

That's YOUR story, at least. The story of self-obsessed and self-deluding idiots who see every piece of shit that gets dumped here as a battle in some great imaginary cosmic war, the idea of which has got lodged in your head from playing too many video games.

The fact is that there is NO war or plot or conspiracy against .71, since the place is so minuscule and so utterly content-less and unimportant that no one with enough brains and will to mount a conspiracy would ever bother to do so.

It's not egoism at all, but rather simple statement of fact, if I say that these posts were neither "random" nor "about .71", but rather entirely and exclusively ABOUT ME.

I don't really know who this guy "the Monk" is, or whether the person who did this goes by that name. But it's pretty obvious to me that the story behind it is the same one as has been being played out on Cracky boards for four years now: someone starts being very pretentious or very silly on some board or in some chat; I point out that this is the case; he runs off with his infinitely swollen and fragile little ego aching and stinging with humiliation and - being unable to retort in any other way - pulls some shitty little coward's trick like trying to post my name on an anti-pedophile site or....this.

Very possibly, the tongue-tied, swollen-headed coward who did this is indeed some regular poster here on .71. But he didn't do it in pursuance of some "agenda" bearing on .71 itself. He did it because he happens to have been shown up, on one or maybe two occasions, as an idiot - by ME, and it is really just ME he wants to get back at. .71 is just being used as a random dump in this case, because he knows that people who come here are people who tend to know the name Alex Reynolds.

As I say, you only reveal how infantilically self-absorbed YOU are when you post things like post 39 on this thread, which treat it as a matter of complete indifference that ugly vicious lies are being spread about a named individual and dismiss all protests about such things as "boring" distractions from the "sacred" content of this board.
