This isn't an adult board. It's a board where 14-year-olds of all ages come to either make willy-poo-poo jokes, or strike absurd, self-dramatizing, pseudo-religious poses that they think will make them sound more interesting - which is actually sort of the point I was making myself when I couldn't help calling out the second poster on this thread regarding his laughable pompous silliness about "tearing the soul from the flesh" etc.

It's just that I sometimes get bored on a Sunday afternoon and the pose of relative intelligence and sophistication adopted by the poster of no. 3 in this thread misled me into thinking that maybe not absolutely EVERYONE who reads this board has a mental age of 14 or less and fails to recognize a joke even when it's biting them in the ass.

I know that Alex Reynolds - unpleasant old sod that he is, and MUCH worse than me, by the way - suffers from similar problems of weekend désoeuvrement and seriously misplaced optimism regarding the intelligence and sense of humour of fortuitously encountered Internet users. If I see him, I'll tell him of my experience this afternoon and advise him that it would be best for him too to give this place a wide berth.
