Just to create the right sympathetic and receptive atmosphere right from the start:
(i) the phrase is "under false pretenses /pretences", not "under false pretense".
(ii) it's impossible for us to "go forth UNTO the Internet", as we are already in the Internet. "Go forth INTO the Internet" might have worked, as it could be taken to mean "from this part of the Internet into other parts of it". But I imagine you felt that "into" was too ordinary a word and only something like "unto" would imbue you with the air of profundity and high intelligence that you feel you need when you set about writing something as condescending and pompous as that last post.
(iii) "The choice is up to you" is a pleonasm. The idea of something's being "up to someone" is already contained in the concept "choice", so "the choice is yours" would have been the correct formulation.
(iv) The present imperative form of "tread" is simply "tread". "Trod" is the past tense and makes no sense in this sentence.
Pseudo-biblical language is, as I said, very useful when one wants to give oneself an air of culture and intelligence without actually having either of these things. But if you really want to pull it off effectively you should try to bear in mind that early-seventeenth-century English actually had a grammar and wasn't just a lot of impressive oldey-worldy sounds randomly strung together.
So now I've won your sympathy and affection, let me say:
The thread was not "derailed". If you people here at Bounceme really are concerned to preserve and develop a "culture of Cracky", then it really is important that you tackle, at least now and again, this issue that there is a second site that declares itself to be about Cracky but isn't in fact about her at all, and that is going to be nurturing and sending out into the world, even if only in small numbers, people who will believe WITHOUT ANY ELEMENT OF "SARCASM" that girls like the girl in the photo in post 15 "are maybe" Cracky.
