More interesting food for speculation about the psychological and institutional mysteries of the Internet in general and the Crackyverse in particular.
It looks to me, at least, as if CH is now closed for good - which I have to say has raised Jeff and Kimi a little in my estimation - although that's not saying much, as they couldn't have dropped much lower (speaking here of Kimi in her capacity as mod of the place, of course; as generally super-cool and super-sexy neo-Cockney hipster chick I just want to melt all over her.)
Clearly, the problem there was much, much more serious than just the Lia Gang "overstepping their bounds". The place actually was just solely and simply a hangout for Lia and her sycophants for the last three or four months of its existence. The "schism" a couple of weeks ago between one faction of Lia bullies and another (Shroud's) faction doesn't seem to me to be an event of much significance. The real issue was that Cracky-content was steadily dropping week by week from one post in ten to one post in a hundred to, finally, no fucking Cracky posts at all and there was no one associated with the place any more - be they "Lia-ist" or "Shroud-ist" - who had any capacity to change that or interest in doing so.
In that respect, mad props... well, maybe that's excessive praise; it was more than high time to do so, so let's say psychologically troubled props to Jeff and Kimi for recognizing that the Crackyverse had indeed abandoned them, that they'd fucked up, and that the only thing to do was to knock it on the head.
An explanation of what exactly was going on "behind the scenes" in those last weeks, though, certainly would interest me (though I'm sure I won't get one).
Above all, there was that very odd evening in the Lia-run Tinychat when a character claiming to be Jeff turned up and began behaving like the most petulant vicious lying abusive butthurt bitch imaginable, accusing everyone who showed even the slightest sign of what he called "Pheelie-hate" of being a "pedo" and running through lists of names of girls whose "name you don't get to say", like some insane dickless faggot-goat.
This was the "Gackto" I was alluding to in one of the posts in the Dolly thread below, and my apologies to Jeff if the "Gackto" in question wasn't him at all, but someone impersonating him.
If it WAS him, it appears that he has gone completely off his gourd this time, and the very fact that he did something as monumentally stupid and crazy as basically hand his whole board over to a vicious, megalomaniac narcissist like Lia DOES unfortunately go to support that possibility.
And if it WASN'T him, then the conclusion must be that Lia was so insanely desperate to maintain and extend her little domain of power that she basically tried to steal Jeff's board off of him, by getting one of her friends to pretend to be him and issue the sort of general policy statements that only a board administrator would have the right to issue.
Either way, I hope that this is the end of Lia as any sort of accepted and tolerated figure in the Crackyverse. It really is time for her to fuck off and found her own personal cult and see how far she gets with it. She'll probably have at least three devout worshippers to make a little start with somewhere else: parasite bff Mousie; the fat nigger who attached himself to both of them for some unfathomable reason; and the little queer from Barcelona who thinks that praise of chavvy English girls, if it is only slavish and unconditional enough, will turn him into a chavvy English girl - or possibly Princess Di - himself.
Whether the congregation will get any larger than that has yet to be seen.
