Hey now, don't be so quick to judge. Maybe OP actually knew her at one point and had deep and meaningful conversations with her and learned all about her and actually grew to like her personality and truly fall in love with her, thus giving him a reason to obsess over her for years even after she disappeared from the web and tried to erase all clues of her existence so that nobody including him would be able to find her.
