Hackers are the people who take the time to fully understand how complex technologies work. The power to subvert them is a symptom of that deeper understanding. The actions of hackers are typically amoral, not immoral. Hackers don't take the technology at face value, they are not 'users' and are not enslaved by technology's Framing effects, or so they believe. They expose our false sense of security; they highlight the fundamentally, but invisibly, flawed infrastructure that we've based all our contemporary #firstworldproblem bollocks on. Tech must either be completely freed, or burned to the ground. Ditch the tech!
