As far as I can tell she just really loves Manilla, and she got signed by ALV Talent Circuit and just stayed out there.

If you saw her in Crete on ANTM you can see why she's so well accepted internationally. Such an awesome combination of creepy-awkwardness and then genuine respect and amiability rather than misanthropy. Crackyfags take note.
