i was sitting talking to [] when i said that eris paled in his light. he joked, 'she can hear us'. i felt guilty and ashamed to have slighted the mother of the quadrality. i put on some suitably chaotic music in an attempt to ameliorate the damage i'd done, and, for reasons i still don't know, paused immobile for a second in front of my computer. then i saw a large black-haired head to my left. it was a woman with large eyes with black irises, long straight black hair, and a black fringe. like a black version of cracky's hair in th witch series. she seemed to be clothed in a simple white tunic. only her head and shoulders were visible: they sprouted from the bed like some great tree. i was afraid, so i bowed my head and clasped my hands in prayer. i remained like this until she left. this seemed to be apology enough.

i feel privileged to have seen eris. i'm definitely going to do a tribute to eris soon, something in return for her being so forgiving.
