Why do you feel you need friends? I wouldn't mind a girlfriend possibly but what do friends give you that you lack? I just don't understand people's need for friends. As long as I have similar people to converse with online, offline friends just seem pointless.

Go to a club or organization with common interests. Start talking about the interest with others. Allow the conversation to branch out. If they're having fun invite them to your house to work on the hobby together at some point. If they accept, you have a new friend.

The friendships that last are the ones you make in highschool. Later in life everybody else has their lives built up and you wont be anything but a secondary priority.
