I guess we are if you can give lots of money to a girl to do something they might regret. It depends on what "lesser than" means. Sometimes the one who gives orders is lesser than, sometimes the other. Ones who pay give to others who can do what they can't. This whole patriarchy/matriarchy thing is something kids pick up every generation or two when they're bored and need to find something to blame their problems on. It's like those anti-capitalist kids too. They want to blame their poorness on capitalism yet part of their problem is not realizing that they have lots of power also. They can use capitalism to boycott or strike for better pay and so on. Overall, life is pretty fair even though I don't have shit and pretty content still.

Pardon my rant. I'm just tired of people bitching about unfairness, be it the feminists, masculists, etc. FFS, you're shitting up my internet.

I'm tired of anytime someone mentions their stance on a topic (be it a feminist, an anti-capitalist, or whatever the opposites of both are since I can't keep track) someone always has to rant about it. I don't care about feminism but fuck it's like every single post on every imageboard or forum has more "I'm so sick of feminists" than actual feminists. And that's what's getting annoying on the Internet in my opinion. Can we enjoy anything without you "having to rant" about issues every time someone slightly mentions it?

I agree. I miss the early internet. Maybe it's just me but I remember it was filled with more optimistic people and it seemed mostly filled with technology, X-Files, cyberpunk, etc kind of sites. Now it seems too politicized, commercialized and homogenized like everything that gets popular, and that's everything I tried to escape from on the internet. Maybe it's because I'm older and when you're younger, every small injustice seems to call for a revolution, now I just don't give a fuck. I guess because I know how to protect my queen if someone moves their piece to put her in jeopardy. When you're young you're hypervigilant and unsure so you always feel a few moves away from a checkmate.

Of course that doesn't explain the recent resurgence of this matriarchy/patriarchy bullshit if it's people my age crying about it. I'm 28 and I thought society was done with this boy vs girl bullshit when I was in kindergarten.

Simple, fellow crackio, internet of yore was filled with people looking for more, who were enthralled by curiosity and desire to be have easier access to information. Now people don't want information (proof easily found in how easy disinformation runs rampant) but rather support, they want to be right, so instead of realizing the truth (or facts if you will), they blind themselves to that and keep seeking online until they find their echo-chamber of choice. Being wrong has never been more popular than it is today.
