I hate chan culture a lot now to be honest. Every single post is about "those damn sjw feminists" and "lololol gais lets raid tumblr again!!1" and it's gotten bad enough to cause a major internet headache. I'm almost more sick of the anti-sjws than the actual sjws and that's saying something. Every discussion on a chan turns political and it's really obnoxious.

That sums up most (anti)SJWs and political bullshit on chans. It used to be for the "lulz", now it's to fight boogeymen.

There's a boatload of boards that don't discuss politics or news and aren't viral marketing wonderlands, so basically you guys are choosing to subject yourselves to that stuff.

I'm more bothered by the endless cynicality and aggressiveness of imageboards, but I don't think it's really a new trend, I've just grown out of imageboards. Nowadays stupid Youtube gaming videos entertain me way more, because the people in them are having fun.

We aren't really choosing because even here we have random political arguments. I agree about the aggressiveness and I think it's gotten worse. I mean it has always been aggressive but it seems to be getting even more so. Just paranoia and aggression mixed with autism and angst.

I agree kind of. You get these pseudo-anarchists that are like 16-20 posting their opinions on shit nobody cares about. They even migrate from 4chan to other chans and spread it. Whereas they used to be ignored and told to lurk more (because lets face it, politics kill the lulz) now they just make up the majority.

Not sure I'd recommend them (their no. 1 target audience is teens), but here's the channels I watch the most.

The Ultimate Sidemen (British group that includes 7 people, content: GTA, random games, dorkiness, ironic homosexuality)
Kyr Sp33dy & the Crew (American group of 6 or 7 people who do GTA and bunch of games, featuring smug humor and ironic homosexuality)
A bunch of NHL channels (I doubt there's another hockey fan on here, so the most notable thing here is that these channels don't, in fact, have ironic homosexuality)
