Not much to tell that I know of. IIRC it was created shortly after bounceme, or might have been there from the start even, by our mysterious admin. As far as I know no explanation was explicitly given, but of course the obvious one is the sinister, otherworldly undertone in many of Lia's art pics.
It then received approximately 1 post per decade until quite recently when traffic picked up somewhat.
