This life can't be good on the soul.
Isolate from everyone and everything head-first into my work. The topic couldn't aid in my health either... "Truth" by Felipe Fernandez-Armesto, "On Truth and Lie in an Extra-Moral Sense" by Friedrich Nietzsche, "Robot: Mere Machine to Transcendent Mind" by Moravec and lastly "Robot Evolution: The Development of Anthrobotics" by Rosheim. These test the fortitude of a mental image called purpose I've placed on my life. Sometimes I wonder what I'll be like in six years from now. If I keep consuming this material I just might go crazy with pure understanding and achieve knowledge meant for the SkyQueen alone. Part of me wants to just escape my fate. Thats why I leave AIM on, have a myspace and check my voice mail. Its almost like I want someone to save me from me it all. There have been those people in my life from time to time. When ever I become engrossed with my work and find the motivation to finally break down the human being into a formula; something tosses a female or a nervous breakdown my way and I get off track. When I got close to the breaking point; that point is deciding that all humans are evil creatures than need to be whipped clean from the face of the planet, I find a girl that wants to spend time with me. Currently there have been six major evolutionary steps in my mental development. All of which have had their chapters closed by a girl I knew leaving me or a tragic event such as a death.

Either Cracky herself wants to keep me from my future out of compassion, or Rabbit wants to keep me from reaching the understanding of true faith.

Suffering leads to deliverance.

In the old days this was mistakenly done by inflicting physical harm on oneself.

The real suffering comes from tearing the soul from the flesh to study it more closely and analyze it.

The only thing you'll learn is to never attempt that, like a warranty void mark on the inside.

In 6 years you likely will be dead, broken and misantropic or insane to the rest of the world.

There's got to be a morning after
If we can hold on through the night
We have a chance to find the sunshine
Let's keep on lookin' for the light
Oh, can't you see the morning after?
It's waiting right outside the storm
Why don't we cross the bridge together
And find a place that's safe and warm?
It's not too late, we should be giving
Only with love can we climb
It's not too late, not while we're living
Let's put our hands out in time
There's got to be a morning after
We're moving closer to the shore
I know we'll be there by tomorrow
And we'll escape the darkness
We won't be searchin' any more
There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after)
There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after)
There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after)
There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after)
There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after).

On Beauty

And a poet said, "Speak to us of Beauty."
Where shall you seek beauty, and how shall you find her unless she herself be your way and your guide?
And how shall you speak of her except she be the weaver of your speech?
The aggrieved and the injured say, "Beauty is kind and gentle.
Like a young mother half-shy of her own glory she walks among us."
And the passionate say, "Nay, beauty is a thing of might and dread.
Like the tempest she shakes the earth beneath us and the sky above us."
The tired and the weary say, "beauty is of soft whisperings. She speaks in our spirit.
Her voice yields to our silences like a faint light that quivers in fear of the shadow."
But the restless say, "We have heard her shouting among the mountains,
And with her cries came the sound of hoofs, and the beating of wings and the roaring of lions."
At night the watchmen of the city say, "Beauty shall rise with the dawn from the east."
And at noontide the toilers and the wayfarers say, "we have seen her leaning over the earth from the windows of the sunset."
In winter say the snow-bound, "She shall come with the spring leaping upon the hills."
And in the summer heat the reapers say, "We have seen her dancing with the autumn leaves, and we saw a drift of snow in her hair."
All these things have you said of beauty.
Yet in truth you spoke not of her but of needs unsatisfied,
And beauty is not a need but an ecstasy.
It is not a mouth thirsting nor an empty hand stretched forth,
But rather a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted.
It is not the image you would see nor the song you would hear,
But rather an image you see though you close your eyes and a song you hear though you shut your ears.
It is not the sap within the furrowed bark, nor a wing attached to a claw,
But rather a garden for ever in bloom and a flock of angels for ever in flight.
People of Orphalese, beauty is life when life unveils her holy face.
But you are life and you are the veil.
Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror.
But you are eternity and your are the mirror.

nice combo, but I find 6-7-8 to ruin it a bit, looking mostly like plain old gore and abuse.

>> No.11

Indeed. Remember, when trying to be edgy and disturbing, nothing disturbs so much as the /implied/ rather than the explicit.

For example, pic 3 is rather heavy handed and blunt. The generic kitcheny linoleum is nice, and I'd keep everything in the picture the way it is, but get rid of the roll of duct tape. Replace with a clearly identifiable dog-dish half-full and labeled with some generic female dog's name, a few pieces of dog food scattered about on the floor either from use or from being kicked a bit during the fatal struggle...maybe some bruise marks around the wrists. It prompts the viewer to ask questions about the scene and fill in the blanks with their own speculation, that generally seems to work well.

This is maybe not on EoS enough for EoS but I figured I'd share this anyway. Not many posts here with original content.
I have little experience taking photos but today with my "friend"'s 35mm (lol analog) camera I took these pictures and got them developed. The building they are in is over 100 years old and somewhat dilapidated but still used. It is a beauty shop now, used to be a gas station once, and has an abandoned, for about a year now, apartment on the upper level. The apartment is our focus today.

Here is the outside.

>potential for brix being shat.

That building has always been strange to be in because of the floor being uneven, settling due to age and some of the less than professional installations. Look at the sink in the bathroom, it's crooked, lol. Also the power outlet in the kitchen is weirdly installed horizontally. In its current state though I thought it particularly striking.

>Where is this anyway?

Someplace in Texas?
>>21

>It looks as if somebody is still living there?

No one lives there now, I was helping the previous occupant get some things out of it and I thought it was a good opportunity to take some pictures. Her grandmother owns the building so some things are still there. There isn't a rush to clean it up because no one else will be moving in probably ever.

is this in a bad part of town or something? If there wasn't any damage to the foundation, or a lot of electrical work to be done (like replacing whole lines in walls/underground, a grid can be replaced rather easily) or extensive water damage, I could see myself fliping this one.
