I thought this seemed like a more appropriate place. This is only a roughdraft. Suggestions are welcome although I DO have a specific plot in mind..

Also, would anyone care to share any tips for coloring it? I am too poor to buy real art supplies and am generally inexperienced with real art supplies. I currently have lined/printer paper, mechanical pencils, and ballpoint pens at my disposal. I don't want to screw the drawing up.

Excellent work... Pastels are cheap and cheerful, they are quite effective but tend to smudge if handled, so you might want to use aerosol fixative (or hairspray) to prevent this happening.

Intriguing. The fact that it even has a plot is even more intriguing.

As for the purely aesthetic perspective, I specially like the last drawing, in the lower-right corner. Maybe due to it being the less obvious drawing emotion-wise, I find it the most deeply emotive.
It also reminds me of Cracky's brand of deep lost gaze.

It's this particular piece of schwillage I believe.
'A nymph believes herself to be the ugliest creature in existence, because her beauty blinds whoever sees her. She spends her time making masks that she considers more beautiful than her face.'

So interesting to have the sketch and the final result in the same thread. Specially because the sketch has its own flavour I also like, even though >>93 is lovely as well. Its all so beautiful.

I find some weird resonance between this curse of a nymph and my own despair. However, my reason to create my masks is because I feel unworthy of the Queen. And every mask I create, regardless of how much effort I put in it correcting the flaws of the previous ones, still feels unworthy. No matter how much I try to look pretty for Her, it never seems to be enough for her kisses.

The Queen doesn't exist, don't you get it? Don't be yourself, you don't exist either.

    >>80 The semester should be ending soon so you'll have more time on your hands. Say a month or two? (I get out in early May) The last few I saw were good. Waiting to see your artskrillz develop thus far.

Don't worry, I'll make it again. This time it will look even prettier, because I've gotten better at drawing. I'm still not good at painting but I'm experimenting with India Ink to try to get the hang of it. I'm going to register for Drawing 1 again in a few days hopefully lol oh god how do I avoid responsibility please no I just want to sleep all day and be on the computer all night what is this I can't even

My art would probably be a lot better if I could just settle on a goddamn book to read but nooo I have to read ALL THE BOOKS ALL AT ONCE
