no zophar's still around. It had a huge lack of activity between 4 years ago and last month but right now it's even got a new look.

I tried upping it but I fucked up on file sizes. (I though Rapidshare allowed 300 mb files. ARG!) So here's where I got it from:

Yes, this site has a lot of content on it. Knock yourselves out.

I just watched the Let's Play of this on YouTube, and it looks pretty good. Although, I'm somewhat surprised by the relatively short length of the game compared to MM3-6.

I agree it looks awesome but could be longer

Does /games/ have any underrated and/or obscure games to share? I sure do.

Blood:

http://anonym.to/?http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?id=4153

This is one of the greatest FPSs of all time. I highly recommend it. It has a perfect atmosphere, great weapons, and a shitload of levels.

Play it faggots.

How to get it working on XP:

http://anonym.to/?http://rapidshare.com/files/141110032/Settlers.2.Gold.Edition.rar.html

The Settlers 2 is slow paced strategy game developed by Blue Byte in the late '90s. You take control of a group of settlers and attempt to establish an economy.

The game features a slightly complex resource system and is combat light. I'd say it's best to look up a guide on how to play.

Overall The Settlers 2 is good for killing long stretches of time.

The game should run under XP but you should use VDMSound to get the sound running, you can find it at the BuildXP.Deathmask link in the OP.

Also, I failed to mention that you can use DOSBox, a DOS emulator to get most DOS titles running on XP. But you need a fast machine for it.

Enjoy.

Played Blood yesterday, well worth the short download, possibly more addictive than Doom 2, thank you for the recommendation. Some funny moments - well, loads of them - and a decent sense of atmosphere make this one worth a look.

Will try to upload the original Tenchu for the PS1 (plays neatly with an emulator) a bit later on this week, there are certain levels in that game that are pure gameplay satisfaction. It suffers only from boss-confrontation bullshit, as if a ninja would spend two hours silently dispatching guards to then reveal themeselves to the target of the hit!

I got this game, I install it, I run it, and guess what? It doesn't run. Nothing happens. At all! I try everything (Patchs, Compatibility Mode ect.)and nothing changes. Complete and utter BS.

I hate it when this happens. Atleast with console games you know it will work 99.9% of the time. Curse Windows for being made of AIDS.

>> No.2

try deleting your cache and running it through DOS

Yep, there's a whole bunch of really good games from that era that are now completely unplayable thanks to changes in the way windows works.

It's sad but true to think we will never be a face-hugger scampering around, looking for a sleeping victim, ever again. And why has there not been a new one to take advantage of the new Direct X?

Get yourself a copy of the underatted AVP Extinction for the PS2... it's a rather addictive troop stretegy game, and fiendish to unlock the awards.

>> No.4

>>3

Baahh, I got it working by downloading a crack. It seems it's one of those games that doesn't like machines with multiple CD-ROM drives.

I didn't know there was an AVP game for the PS2, let alone a strategy game. I may check it out if I see it.

Also, I remember seeing Xenomorphs in current generation graphics somewhere on the internet. Possibly a new AVP game? (Probably a movie screencap XD) I'll have to check into it.

Hmm... there may well be re-skins available for the textures... loved that game as a space marine or the insane 360 effect of the alien movement, not so good as a predator, you are still too powerful I think.

Did anyone ever play Predator: Concrete Jungle that came out a few years back, set on Earth (I think) and focusing on just Predators? I missed it (wrong console probably).

I've tried it a few times and was able to make some progress. But, it is impossible to complete the stages.
