Does /games/ have any underrated and/or obscure games to share? I sure do.

Blood:

This is one of the greatest FPSs of all time. I highly recommend it. It has a perfect atmosphere, great weapons, and a shitload of levels.

Play it faggots.

How to get it working on XP:

The Settlers 2 is slow paced strategy game developed by Blue Byte in the late '90s. You take control of a group of settlers and attempt to establish an economy.

The game features a slightly complex resource system and is combat light. I'd say it's best to look up a guide on how to play.

Overall The Settlers 2 is good for killing long stretches of time.

The game should run under XP but you should use VDMSound to get the sound running, you can find it at the BuildXP.Deathmask link in the OP.

Also, I failed to mention that you can use DOSBox, a DOS emulator to get most DOS titles running on XP. But you need a fast machine for it.

Enjoy.

Played Blood yesterday, well worth the short download, possibly more addictive than Doom 2, thank you for the recommendation. Some funny moments - well, loads of them - and a decent sense of atmosphere make this one worth a look.

Will try to upload the original Tenchu for the PS1 (plays neatly with an emulator) a bit later on this week, there are certain levels in that game that are pure gameplay satisfaction. It suffers only from boss-confrontation bullshit, as if a ninja would spend two hours silently dispatching guards to then reveal themeselves to the target of the hit!
