Rejected answers:

  1. "Survival" -- if you're on the internet, you probably don't have to worry about this. What's left?
  2. "Whatever meaning you give it" -- no shit; what do you give it?

Pic is always unrelated.

I say Love not because I'm a faggot, but because it can instigate most of the other options.

if you reject survival because we're on the internet, then you are misunderstanding your question. (1 life <-> all life) We are part of a system (living stuff) whose objective is to continue living, at first because it could, and later because the one's that didn't want to live died. To not let your species die when you are eaten, multiply, and be the best doing so. Hence, we have to die, since our successors should be able to survive (live) better.
Hence, there is no reason in live. Life started, and its just continuing because the ones who didn't want to continue, didn't continue (died). You could compare it to a row of dominos, where at the end the domino who's about to fall quickly creates a bigger one in front of it. So maybe you don't have to look in the future, but in the past. Since everything could be traced back using physics to the big bang (no, the first life wasn't some 'miracle' lol) or to what created the big bang, or what created that, etc etc, but that must be some religious thing.
Ok i think i covered all options. (BUT ZOMG NONE IS THE MOST TRUE LOLOLOL)

That's a nice painting, the greeman contemplating in the ruins of a solar temple, two cyclical symbols of nature eroding the efforts of humanity to build something, anything, long-lasting. I'm not sure that survival is the meaning though; it certainly is descriptive of what life (as we define it to be) is, or even "what it does", but what does it mean?

Survival is what all life seeks, but what happens when life no longer has to struggle to survive? Humans, at least those of us in the developed world, have mastered survival to the point where we no longer have to spend time/energy in order to survive.... even if we refused to ever work again (and many do), society would still provide for us. Survival is no longer a "goal" since it's practically impossible to fail. Humans need goals to keep us focuses. If you have to struggle to survive, then every day you don't die is a victory. What happens when this struggle is removed? We become bored and we lack purpose... we become confused and don't know what we're supposed to be doing. What are we supposed to be doing, anyway? We create hobbies & institutions & pastimes & religions, just because we're bored. Humanity is bored because there's nothing we have to do anymore. Now we need to figure out what, if anything, we want to do. Everything we've created lately was just a product of our boredom; some people kill boredom by solving "problems" with technology but every problem solved just makes life even easier and makes us even more bored. Maybe there is a purpose to this; maybe we are building something as a species without even knowing it. Maybe we are becoming something. Or maybe we are just killing time until we die.

WIPO: Pic related.

In the end, family & loved ones are (nearly) the only things really worth something in life. I encourage you to make sure they know their importance to you.

I wouldn't be so quick to say that. Without some sort of miracle tech that violates the laws of physics, there's going to be quite a bit of "failing to survive" in the next decade.
