I know this is old by now, however...
... what I challenged was that women cheat because their partners are somehow "insufficient". I didn't mention any women leaving, or any women wanting to be with or not be with people.
I was originally going to add more to qualify my statements in >>5 but I assumed (it appears mostly correctly, excepting you) that people are intelligent enough to understand without me handholding them through my entire train of thought.
Generally speaking, if a woman finds her partner insufficient, then unless he has some sort of domineering hold on her she will make a decision either to leave or to wait it out in the hope that things get better (women appear to me much more focussed on their partner's potential than men).
The decision to cheat is an entirely different process, and requires a much bigger inner conflict, which likely has nothing to do with her current relationship (why make such a risky move when she could just leave and have a legitimate relationship with one person?).
Anyway, apologies to Tomás for making this such a drawn out affair.
