Okay, so I blinked and missed these. The girl-who-once-dressed-up-as-corky looks exactly like a nerdy friend of mine, down to the computer-squint eyes, tomboy demeanour, vampire skin, and aimiable smile.

Thanks for those Anonymous, they have pretty much answered any questions I might have had about the person behind the character. I certainly wouldn't recognise her on the street, but she is someone I'd probably attempt small-talk with at the library.
