How many people had to take a typing class in school? How many didn't? I did, in high school, but I wonder if they're becoming a thing of the past.

Wasn't taught anything practical in school whatsoever. I was amazed to find out a local school taught cookery to the kids. The old typng qualifications (RSA II and RSA III) are allegedly pre-requirements in a lot of places, and they list it in the job requirement BUT the RSA institute has in fact been closed for over a decade, which may give you a good indication of how on-the-ball HR is in the UK. PROTIP: applicants for clerical/data jobs in the UK should write "RSA II equivalent" on their forms, it ticks a box on the their list of requirements, and is entirely unprovable.

Are you trying to tell us that in school, you didn't learn arc welding, gas welding, woodcutting, rifle cleaning, blood trail tracking, shotgun safety, etc.?

Wow, America really does have a superior educational system to you.

I learned the following: determine the outcome expected of you, and deliver it in such a manner as to be most easily checked off the list by the assessor.

Not on the curriculum, but useful anyway: how to steal an item right in front of someone, how to lie by assuming a truthful stance with my whole body language, and forcibly returning to the point in question if the interrogator attempts to subtly change subject. PROTIP: eyes up and to the left = truth, eyes right = lie.

409 points, so you achieved position 2800 of 225474 on the ranking list
You type 516 characters per minute
You have 99 correct words and
you have 0 wrong words

Wish, do you think you would be faster if you were typing in your native language? I know I would be hella slow if I were typing in German instead of English, since I don't know it nearly as well.

mhm it seems i fell back 10wpm in Dutch, but this could be because qwerty is more optimised for English and Dutch has more difficult words or something.
But i also think half or more of my thoughts in English, and 80% from what i read and write or say everyday is English too. When i tried in Spanish, which i don't know anything of, i dropped 20 wpm
