She is pretty good, this girl. A bit of a perfectionist too, by the way the notes read. Delicious, too. Probably batshit, there's usually a catch, what do we think, pyromanic perhaps?

Maybe the catch is the same as OUR olivia's? She's really truly boring.

These are beautiful.

I was looking through her gallery of self portraits, and while her newer stuff is quite good, her older pictures look like just another typical, boring 14-year-old girl taking myspace-glamor-shots of herself and then badly photoshoping them. How very disappointing.

She is quite good, but she will never look as helpless and vulnerable as Cracky.

Oi, don't spoil it... maybe she's really interested in aesthetic imagery in it's own right, and not just as an attention-seeking gonna-ditch-it-right-away-when-I-get-what-I-want kind of thing?

Yeah, okay, so that simply couldn't be true. I think Pyromania would have been more fun.

Can we draw comparisons with Corky? Olivia Bee has stayed awake during at least one television show/lesson at posh school about the history of art, and clearly has enough feeling for classical structure to make junk look gorgeous simply by arrangement. Corky on the other hand pressumably pressed the shutter timer and legged it in front of the camera for most of her solo stuff.

Subject-wise they both come from an LJ-style eating disorder background. They both explore their disatisfaction through fantasy displacement, Corky through characters, Olivia Bee through situations.

Technique-wise they both show signs of promise at a very early age, but as noted by the realists with both will have packed it all in sooner than later, and become as tedious and mundane as the next girl.

Both are clearly delicious and physically delightful, a fact that they would have contested bitterly no doubt, until they got boyfriends.

I think these two would be friends. Maybe an introduction could be arranged?

Is this rhetorical? I can't tell with typing. I first took a critical look at Corky in January. And Olivia Bee from >>4

Mostly it was. But I was also wondering wether you had been around earlier/longer. Your posts seem to be quite insightful, but maybe they are just objective.
