Looks like "the New Spirit of Crackyhouse" lasted about as long as anyone who knows anything about the Internet woukd expect "New Spirits" to last on unmoderated boards.

I thought post no. 4 was pretty well-executed and quite amusing.

But I guess that - if my spider-sense hadn't starting tingling already at the very idea of an "Alex thread" - it should have started tingling at the mention of "posting nudes" and a "girlchild".

The fact that I HAVE to point it out means, of course, almost certainly that pointing it out will serve NO PURPOSE, but:

(a) "nudes" (actually ONE nude: my own) constitute about 0.0000000001% of what I've posted on here in the past 4 years

(b) the fact that this board is (ostensibly) about a "girlchild" is an aspect of it I've consistently done my best to ignore. I've never posted about Cracky nor about any girl of her age.

The information doubtless serves, though, as I say, no purpose, as post no. 4 seems to have given the cue (perhaps intendedly) to post no. 5, which just rolls out the tedious, infantile, arbitrary "Alex is a pedo (snigger snigger)" thing again without, this time, any of the trappings of wit, intelligence or imagination.

Because, I'm sorry, but saying "I'm looking at this photograph of a guy standing in an overcoat in a room in Berlin. I see child pornography in it" is about as witty or observant or amusing as saying "Oh. A photo of an elephant standing on a hill in Zimbabwe. Child porn (snigger)" or "Oh. A photo of Mary Wollestoncraft Shelley. Child porn (snigger)."

So, to sum up: Congratulations, Jeff, the "New Crackyhouse" has lasted approximately 12 hours.

If I were you, I'd simply accept that there just IS nobody in your "community" who is capable of or interested in contributing "creative and constructive" things related to Cracky.

The "new board's been up less than 12 hours and the top thread on page 1 is basically just the "Alex is a pedo haha" thread that we've seen a hundred times before.

What this place is ABOUT, obviously, and what people WANT it to be about is baiting me and then sitting back and sniggering while I shit all over a pointless, worthless board full of malicious trolls with the mental ages of the pre-pubescent children that they can't seem to shut up about.

Which actually, as I'm pretty bored, is OK by me....

Well, let's not go into the details.

I think a general healthy rule of thumb, if people GENUINELY don't want the board to turn into shit again, is:

Avoid "Alex threads" (contrary to a widespread belief, I have no interest in being a "star").

Avoid talk - even tired and unfunny jokes -about CP and "girlchildren". Cracky WAS 15 years old, so there are probably not a few genuine child-molestors sniffing around here anyway. If I'm going to continue posting ANYTHING here at all, I'd rather not see them crawling out from under their rocks while I do so.
