It seems fairly obvious that d-o is not the right approach now for our D O; she'd rather be left in peace. But the idea is sound, and we all wish she'd visit and hang out with us so everybody can get over it. Not assigning any blame to her, we're shitty people to try to force her hand. This many years later anybody else in the same position can make a better go of it, and several have done. Since we won't disband on our own there's nothing left to do but wish for another way.

She did, and she couldn't handle it (or whatever, I don't know what her thought process was) and saw that we weren't going to just take that as a shortcut to shutting it all down. Even with Catie, you can see how much effort she puts in to keeping control of the situation.
