Yes, perhaps. I'd like to make a point that it doesn't necessarily take somebody who has never felt true love to feel cosmically abandoned by it.
The view held in >>24 is, indeed, practically impossible to hold in one's head when there's somebody there to be your mirror. But to be disconnected from that, and cast back into the solitary maelstrom of the world is quite devastating, even if you don't take the typical adolescent reactionary stance and claim that it was 'never true love anyways'.
I don't mean to shit on anybody's happy relationships either, sometimes good things do last forever (I hope). I just think that it's possible to understand love, and to also be hurt by it.
